What I liked was that on request you can take a special menu, my wife is vegetarian, and it is very difficult to find establishments that employ it.Thanks also for the bus friends that we could bring all other hotels in the chain’s free white magic coast. And best of all, the activities of magic and dance for the whole family and a very friendly staff.

we were transferred from the hotel villa de mar as it had closed for refurshment due to storm damage. we checked reviews and were a bit worried. there was no need to as we had a great stay. the hotel was packed with spanish pensioners, and we had a great time in the evenings dancing.the staff were all helpfull and spoke english. the rooms were clean and no smells. the meals were hot and varied (some spanish meals that we were happy to try ).drinks were local but you can upgrade to named brands if you want to . bar staff were excellant ,so thanks to Anitta,Fabio.would deffinetly go again.

Opinion of a costumer in Venere Fenecia evalaution: 7.9 by: Mark Greenham, United Kingdom Feb 12 2008
All of the above comments are directed towards the hotel staff, as when we arrived Venere had not confirmed our accomodation with the hotel, if it was not for the help and understanding of the hotel staff we would be without anywhere to stay. So on your scale above Venere rate 0. You are fortunate that the hotel staff were so understanding, otherwise we would have been taking this further, as it was not acceptable

My husband and I stayed here for the first time in March 2003 to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and were most impressed with the hotel, food and entertainment (Ali G lookalike). We had a wonderful week and were so confident we took my parents there the following year. They can be a bit picky but had a thoroughly enjoyable week with the only problem being access for a wheelchair. We have tried to book here again but no luck through the travel agent, seems you have to book this hotel and flight separately, hence seeing the reviews - which I couldn’t believe. Has this hotel deteriorated out of all recognition or is this a different hotel?
The best: The rooms were great on both occasions - so was the food
The worst: Content of Picnic LunchboxSuggestion: First time we’d used a taxi to/from resort but what a brilliant experience

Opinion of customer by PeterLANCASHIRE, Lancashire 30 oct 2007
We have stayed (my wife & myself) at the Fenicia Hotel (now named Magic Fenicia) in Benidorm on 4 occasions the last 3 were 4 years ago. We booked our recent holiday then found all the negative reports on the internet. We did not believe that an Hotel could go down so much so we carried on & went anyway.
The Hotel, food entertainment, cleanliness, ammenities were as good as ever. The major complaints which we read before we went was about food & the Spanish being in the Hotel. We returned from the Fenicia on Sunday 28 October 07. Yes the spanish were in the Hotel in great numbers but surely we have all heard the saying eat were the locals do, sleep were the locals do.Yes the food was local but if you go to Spain what do you want ?. I want Spanish Food not food that I eat all year round, if you want English food stay in the U.K.
The fantastic concept of this Hotel chain is that if you go all inclusive you can drink ( soft drinks, brews, alcholic drinks & dine ) at any of their establishments, great you can dine & watch shows & drink any were anytime.
I will admit that I am Coeliac ( wheat free diet) even this was not a problem great choices & advice always available.
So lets stop kicking the Hotels if we want English stay at home & enjoy the rain. The Best: ALWAYS DID THEIR BEST & ALWAYS WENT THAT LITTLE BIT EXTRA
The Worst: NOTHING EVERYTHING GREAT

Opinion of costumer of Magic fenicia through Tripadvisor, by Pajo1966, Wales 17 feb 2008
We have just stayed in this hotel for the second year running, and plan on going there every year. The hotel is ideally situated in the Old Town, amongst many shops, bars and eating places. The beach and harbour is about 50 yards infront of the hotel. The rooms are well kept and clean, as is the hotel generally. The staff, from the time off booking in all the way to booking out, were absolutely fantastic and are truly an asset to the hotel and the Grupo Costa Blanca. They were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful at all times, we had a good laugh with most of them. The food was really good, I am a fussy eater, but I ate most of what was on offer.
Sme people say it is a retirment home for the Spanish. There were a lot of elder spaniards in residence when we stayed there, but, if you respect them, they respect you. We had very little problem with them, and even enjoyed the company of some of them during the afternoon and evening.
Overall the Magic Fenicia is a well run hotel in an unbeatable location, and it is a pleasure to stay there.
